Gracias a ella, llegu\u00e9 a textos, s\u00edmbolos y pr\u00e1cticas desconocidas en la cultura popular que me rodeaba.Comenc\u00e9 a creer que las palabras tienen el poder de <strong data-start=\"1421\" data-end=\"1443\">seal reality<\/strong>A seal not only defines what is seen, but what it represents, its essence and its purpose.<br data-start=\"1533\" data-end=\"1536\" \/><strong data-start=\"1536\" data-end=\"1562\">A name is a seal.<\/strong><br data-start=\"1562\" data-end=\"1565\" \/>And our name tells our story; what we believe we are.<em data-start=\"1633\" data-end=\"1640\">Amaya<\/em> It&#039;s my last name, and I&#039;ve only recently re-adopted it for <strong data-start=\"1701\" data-end=\"1722\">integrate the cycle<\/strong> to which I belong as a human. It is my paternal lineage, the one I find myself healing and rewriting to feel that <strong data-start=\"1837\" data-end=\"1867\">I clean and expand my legacy<\/strong>.\u00bf<strong data-start=\"1871\" data-end=\"1886\">What legacy?<\/strong>A cultural legacy, first and foremost: the stories and myths of the lands where I was born. Waking up in a technological world allowed me access to global culture, to the narratives of all peoples, and to the symbols that unite them. All that mystery linked to death led me, inevitably, to the Mayan civilization.
