A Transformative Beginning and the Power of Music

Amaya's journey of healing and self-discovery began at age 12, following the loss of his mother. This event triggered an intensive search for meaning beyond death, which he later called "spirituality." At that moment, music found him: the guitar opened a portal to a cosmic language capable of healing souls and resonating with the eternal. This early immersion in music provided profound healing throughout his childhood and adolescence. With innate determination, Amaya began working at 13 and, by 14, was already teaching music, laying the foundation for his educational vocation. He dedicated years to music and devoured books on metaphysics and spirituality in his quest for understanding.

Entrepreneurship, Evolution, and Redefined Success

At nineteen, after pursuing her passion independently, Amaya founded Legatto Harmony & Music Institute in Monterrey, Mexico. This music school quickly flourished, becoming a valued center for quality music education and a haven for musicians of all ages. Its success led him to establish a second business, Mayan Solutions®However, at twenty-two, despite having achieved what society defines as success, Amaya felt a deep dissatisfaction and emptiness. A financial crisis led him to make the difficult decision to close his music school. This period of depression marked a crucial turning point, highlighted by a transformative experience on a mountain. There, he heard what he interpreted as "the voice of my mother's spirit," guiding him to understand that "there is more to life than money, business, and fame; it's like climbing a mountain and, from the top, seeing that there are more mountains to climb." This message inspired him to embrace freedom, travel, and expand his horizons.

Dedication to Bacalar and a Living Legacy

Back in Mexico, Amaya faced the challenges of popular tourist destinations like Tulum, including environmental degradation and social issues. This experience, combined with a profound spiritual ceremony, led him to the mythical Bacalar Lagoon. From 2021 to 2025, Amaya has been deeply committed to protecting Bacalar's vulnerable ecosystem, especially the ancient stromatolites, vital to the lagoon's colors and air purification. Here, he has sustained vibrant spaces, hosting workshops, community ceremonies, sound circles, and gatherings that unite hearts and reconnect people with their human origins. These activities, which include music and fire gatherings and ancestral ceremonies, honor the living memory of the waters, where water, fire, earth, and wind act as masters in a larger ritual.

Amaya's work in Bacalar reflects her belief that collective challenges, such as ecological and social balance, when addressed with intention and will, can give life profound meaning.
